The “Nae Catches Up on Kpop” Project (Part 3)

The Nae Catches Up on Kpop Project 3

Welcome to Part 3 of the “Nae Catches Up on Kpop” project, in which I try my best to catch up on all the major releases that have cropped up in the past month since I’ve been gone.

Since last post’s went up to March 6th , this post will be going up to March 14th. As I mentioned in the past two posts, these will not be full paragraph reviews. Rather, I will spend 1-3 sentences talking about the various releases – both to save time and also so I don’t have to drone on about boring releases.

Let’s get started, shall we?

The “Nae Catches Up On Kpop” Project (Part 2)

The Nae Catches Up on Kpop Project 2

Welcome to Part 2 of the project in which I try my best to catch up on Kpop and talk about some of the releases which have come out in the past month. I have determined there will be about four parts to this because I am talking about releases in one post based on the week they were posted on. Since the last post was from February 20th – February 27th, we are going to start this post on the 28th of February, and end it on March 6th.

As I mentioned in the first post, these will not be full-on paragraph-length reviews. Rather, I will be writing about one-to-three sentences on each of these comebacks so a) I can make these posts faster, and b) I don’t have to talk about releases I don’t like for too long. I know it’s not how I usually write my Songs I Missed posts, but it will have to do for catch-up purposes.

Let’s get started, shall we?

The “Nae Catches Up on Kpop” Project (Part 1)

The Nae Catches Up on Kpop Project 1

So unless you have been living under a rock, you’ll probably notice that I haven’t been posting at all about the current situation of Kpop for about a month now. There will be a couple series meant to catch me up on all the stuff regarding Kpop over the past few days so I’m all caught up.

That being said, I have to admit that Kpop hasn’t been all that inspiring as far as comebacks go. Other than a few different comebacks over the past month, there haven’t been too many releases that have totally caught my eye. Therefore, starting with the week where I stopped paying attention, I’ve decided to post one-to-three sentence responses to the songs. It’ll make it easy to get these posts out faster, but also it means I don’t have to drone on about songs that bored me.

Now let’s start where I left off: February 20th, 2017:

Twice Continues to Enamor Me With Their Charm in “Knock Knock”

twiceknockknock

If you remember my review on “TT” last year, you would know that unlike everyone else I wasn’t a big fan of TWICE. I didn’t get the hype for them, even as “Like Ooh Ahh” and “Cheer Up” achieved major success. Funnily enough, it wasn’t until their third effort in “TT” I began to recognize what people were getting hyped about. The biggest thing about TWICE as a whole is this: how much you like the song depends on how much you like the hook. “TT” was a hook that did it for me, and afterwards I was really excited to see what else TWICE had up their sleeves to charm me with.

Well, “Knock Knock” knocked it out of the park with charm this time around, and I am happy to say this is my favorite effort from them so far.

Songs I Missed #10: K.A.R.D., BTS, Red Velvet, and more!

songs-i-missed-10

Oh hello guys.

So it’s been a while since I wrote something for this blog because I’ve been bad and haven’t been looking around much on the Kpop stratosphere. Much of this has to do with…well, school and my fiction endeavors, as well as the fact February presented a slow-down where big releases go.

That being said, I have a lot of catching up to do as far as rookies and some big names go, so let’s get started with where I left off: January 29th, 2017.

Songs I Missed #9: Suzy, Kassy, SHINee, and more!

songs-i-missed-9

Another week has come and gone, and that means another Songs I Missed. I know this is the second week I’ve come out with literally no full reviews, but my brain has been busy on other things. However, I have kept up with Kpop long enough that I can comment a thing or two on this past week’s releases.
